Mediterranean diet is based on three main food which are the main basis that this lifestyle and difference it from other parts of the world. I’m talking about lifestyle of Mediterranean people, over a relatively little area, with a climate merely Mediterranean and similar costumes due to the hard work made by the messengers-merchants who crossed the Mediterranean sea from east to western and from north to the south.

This refined white flour, has a very high glycemic index which destabilizes levels of glucose and insulin, generating uncontrollable hunger and cravings besides a metabolic long-term damage which is impossible to calculate.
ABOUT RED WINE: Mediterranean climate have marked, with its ends, the configuration and the way of establish crops, in this case, vines around Mediterranean sea, had to been sleeping near the ground in order to keep as much humidity as possible, trying that water drops not to be evaporated. that’s why vines located in places where important temperatures are reached,and humidity were not abundant had historically this configuration.

Since several decades ago, wines and its industry is focused in other direction, towards another type of consume and consumers. It’s a consumption of complex and structured wines, far away from Mediterranean tradition, vines far from ground, irrigation systems, etc make that excellent wines are made, but for drinking and sharing a short time.
Personally I prefer long distance wines to create a culture of friendship around.
