Since last post, we learned something important about olive oil.
Virgin Extra Olive Oil and Virgin Olive Oil are the top, are the champions of the Oil Leagues, and the others fats (these can be well named fats) are all together playing the 3rd-4th place match.
Nor Pomace Olive Oil is associated to Mediterranean Diet neither mere Olive Oil had been taken by nobody in the historical past. Both of them have been produced industrially with trade objectives since not long time ago.
I live in the middle of the green sea made from 60 million olive trees, all people work, live or survive around this miracle-tree, but nobody takes Pomace Olive Oil neither Olive Oil by itself. In more, the most of the Olive Mills are composed by hundred of members, or partners it could be said, grouped in cooperatives, but Cooperatives usually only produce Virgin Extra Olive Oil, Virgin Olive Oil or Lampante Olive Oil (the origin of mere Olive Oil ). They nor refine this last Oil neither process Pomace.
When you wake up in the morning and take an orange, you are able to obtain the 80% of pure and natural orange juice. It`s posible that industrially, taking the part of the orange you are not going to use, you get the remaining orange juice, but i would rather not to drink it. It could be better ir you mix this stuff with a part of original 85℅, seeming orange juice, but I wouldn`t do it.
It`s easy to make a comparison between orange and olive, and its juices, believe me, it`s real.
I know the consumption of this 2nd class Olive Oil fats is better sometimes and depending of the country so as to improve the cooking habits of people using worse fats than pomace olive oil, but, my advice is “try to use only VEOO or VOO” for everything.
